Plateosaurus
Plateosaurus is a genus of early Jurassic period sauropod dinosaur known from Europe and Africa. It was one of the earliest large herbivores, characterized by a long neck, relatively small head, and powerful limbs. Its name means 'flat lizard,' referencing the flat vertebral processes on its back.
