Compsognathus

A small, bird-like dinosaur from the Late Jurassic period (approximately 150 million years ago). Known primarily from a nearly complete fossil found in Bavaria, Germany, *Compsognathus* was roughly the size of a chicken and likely an agile predator of insects, lizards, and small vertebrates.
