Vaitupu

Easternmost inhabited island of Tuvalu.

Vaitupu is the easternmost inhabited island of Tuvalu, a Polynesian nation in the Pacific Ocean. It is an atoll composed of coral reefs surrounding two small islets, Taitua and Lotoa. Historically significant, Vaitupu served as the administrative center of Tuvalu before governance shifted to Funafuti.
