Niutao
Atoll in the Tuvalu archipelago.
Niu Tao
Niutao is a remote atoll in the Tuvalu archipelago, consisting of two islets: Motu Niutao and Teone. Historically, it was the most populous island in Tuvalu before a devastating tsunami struck the region around 1891, significantly reducing its population. Today, it remains sparsely inhabited and is known for preserving traditional cultural practices.
