Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks (1913-2005) was an American activist whose refusal to give up her seat on a bus to a white passenger in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1955 sparked the Montgomery Bus Boycott. This pivotal event became a major catalyst for the Civil Rights Movement and established her as an icon of resistance against racial segregation.
