Montenegro

Montenegro is a country located in Southeastern Europe, on the Balkan Peninsula. It borders the Adriatic Sea to the southwest and is surrounded by Croatia to the west, Bosnia and Herzegovina to the northwest, Serbia to the east, Kosovo to the southeast, Albania to the south, and the Adriatic Sea coastline along its western edge. Montenegro became an independent state in 2006 after a referendum, following the dissolution of Serbia and Montenegro. The country is known for its diverse geography ranging from coastal areas along the Adriatic Sea to mountainous regions inland.
