World Wide Web

System of interlinked hypertext documents accessed via the Internet.

The World Wide Web, commonly referred to as the web, is a system of interlinked hypertext documents accessed via the Internet. It was invented in 1989 by British computer scientist Tim Berners-Lee while working at CERN. The web allows users to navigate between websites and access information through hyperlinks, using protocols such as HTTP or HTTPS. It has become a fundamental part of modern communication and information sharing.
