Vanuatu
Vanuatu is an island nation in the South Pacific, comprised of roughly 83 islands spanning about 1,750 km (1,090 mi). It is known for its volcanic landscapes, diverse culture with unique languages, and active volcanoes. Formerly known as New Hebrides, it gained independence from France and the United Kingdom in 1980.
