The Strokes
An American rock band formed in New York City in 1998. Known for their minimalist and influential sound that helped revive garage rock in the early 2000s, The Strokes consist of Julian Casablancas (vocals/guitar), Nick Valensi (guitar), Albert Hammond Jr. (guitar/keyboards), Nikolai Fraiture (bass), and Fabrizio Moretti (drums). Their debut album 'Is This It' (2001) is considered a seminal work of the era.
