Tamazight, also known as Tamazight Berber or Amazigh language, is a branch of the Berber languages spoken primarily in Morocco and Algeria. It belongs to the Afro-Asiatic language family and is one of several varieties of Berber spoken across North Africa. Tamazight has both oral traditions and written forms, including the Tifinagh script used historically by Amazigh communities.
