The Berber people are indigenous populations of North Africa who traditionally speak one of the Berber languages, collectively known as Tamazight. These languages belong to the Afro-Asiatic language family and are primarily spoken across Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Mali, Niger, and other regions of the Maghreb.
