trinitrophenol

Picric acid (C₆H₃N₃O₆), also known as trinitrophenol, is an acidic organic compound. It exists as yellow crystals and is highly explosive when dry. Historically used in explosives, dyes, and medicine, its instability and sensitivity to shock now limit most applications. It's a strong oxidizing agent and can form sensitive salts with metals.
