Officially the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, is a Southeast Asian nation. It is bordered by Bangladesh and India to its west and northwest, China to the northeast, Laos to the east, and Thailand to the southeast. Myanmar is known for its diverse geography, including mountains, plains, and a long coastline along the Bay of Bengal.
