Kobuk Valley

A vast, remote valley in northwestern Alaska known for its extensive sand dunes (the Great Kobuk sand Sea), salmon-rich rivers, and rich archaeological record documenting human habitation for over 2500 years. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
