Canaan

Canaan refers to an ancient region located in the eastern Mediterranean, corresponding roughly to modern-day Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Israel, and Palestine. It was known in antiquity for its trade networks, diverse cultures, and strategic location between major civilizations such as Egypt, Mesopotamia, and the Levant. The region played a significant role in biblical narratives and was home to various Canaanite city-states.
