Barium

Barium (Ba) is a soft, silvery-white alkaline earth metal. It's relatively reactive and readily forms compounds with other elements. Barium is used in pigments, pyrotechnics (to produce green flames), and as a component in some glass and ceramics. It is also found naturally, though not in its pure metallic form.
