White Dwarf

A white dwarf is the dense remnant of a star that has exhausted its nuclear fuel. Primarily composed of electron-degenerate matter, they are small (roughly Earth-sized), extremely hot when formed, and slowly cool over billions of years, radiating residual heat as light. They represent the final evolutionary stage for most stars.
