First Gulf War Operation Desert Storm

Also known as the First Gulf War or Operation Desert Storm, this conflict occurred from 1990 to 1991. It began with Iraq’s invasion of Kuwait and continued with a U.S.-led coalition military campaign to liberate Kuwait and degrade Iraq's military capabilities. The war involved extensive aerial bombing and ground operations, ending with an Iraqi surrender.
