Suriname

Suriname is a country on the northeastern coast of South America. Formerly known as Dutch Guiana, it’s characterized by vast rainforests, diverse wildlife, and a unique multicultural population comprised of descendants from various ethnic groups including Creole, Indian, Javanese, Maroons (descendants of escaped slaves), and Dutch settlers. Paramaribo is its capital and largest city.
