Sakha

The Sakha, also known as the Yakut, are an indigenous ethnic group primarily residing in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) in the Russian Federation. They have a rich cultural heritage shaped by their adaptation to extreme climatic conditions, particularly the harsh Siberian winters. The Sakha language belongs to the Tungusic branch of the Uralic family and plays a central role in preserving their traditions, folklore, and oral history.
