Quezon City
Highly urbanized city in the Philippines and part of Metro Manila.
Quezon City is a highly urbanized city located in the National Capital Region of the Philippines and serves as part of Metro Manila. Originally conceived during World War II as a planned suburban community to alleviate overcrowding in old Manila, it has since grown into one of the largest cities in the country. The city is known for its green spaces, educational institutions such as the University of the Philippines Diliman, commercial hubs like Eastwood City and Greenhills Shopping Center, cultural landmarks including the Quezon Memorial Circle, and its role as a political center housing government offices.
