Neon (Ne) is a colorless, odorless noble gas. It comprises approximately 0.0018% of Earth's atmosphere and is widely used in advertising signs, where it glows reddish-orange when an electric current passes through it. It is also used in cryogenic refrigeration and high-voltage indicators.
