Marie Curie

Marie Skłodowska Curie (1867-1934) was a Polish and naturalized-French physicist and chemist renowned for her pioneering research on radioactivity. She discovered the elements polonium and radium, developed techniques for isolating radioactive isotopes, and conducted groundbreaking research that advanced our understanding of atomic structure. Curie was the first woman to win a Nobel Prize, and remains the only person to have won Nobel Prizes in two different scientific fields (Physics in 1903 and Chemistry in 1911).
