Loire
The Loire is France's longest river, stretching approximately 1,012 km (630 miles). It flows through a fertile valley in central and western France, known as the Loire Valley. The river is historically significant and a UNESCO World Heritage site due to its numerous châteaux (castles) built along its banks.
