Lake Nicaragua
Lake Nicaragua is the largest lake in Central America and ninth-largest freshwater lake in the world by surface area. It straddles parts of Nicaragua's León and Granada departments, playing a significant role in the country’s geography, economy, and history. It is notable for having islands including Ometepe and Concepción.
