Jesus of Nazareth

Central figure of Christianity, believed by Christians to be the Son of God and Messiah prophesied in the Old Testament. Born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth (hence the name), he began his public ministry around 30 CE, teaching with authority, performing miracles, and ultimately crucified under Roman rule. His followers believe he resurrected, forming the basis for Christian faith.
