Illinois

Illinois is a state located in the Midwestern region of the United States, renowned for its expansive prairie landscapes and as the home state of Chicago, one of America's largest cities. The state borders Lake Michigan to the east, Indiana and Kentucky to the south, Iowa to the west, Wisconsin to the north, Michigan via waterways east-northeastwardly across Lake Michigan's southern end, and Missouri indirectly through river systems southwestwardly via the Mississippi River watershed area.
