Gyeongbokgung Palace Korean Royal Palace

Gyeongbokgung is the largest and most significant of Korea's royal palaces, located in Seoul. It was built in 1395 during the Joseon Dynasty and served as the primary residence of Korean kings. The palace complex features traditional Korean architecture, including the main gate Gwanghwamun and the throne hall Geunjeong. It was partially destroyed during the Japanese occupation but has since been restored and is now a major cultural heritage site.
