A popular breed of dog known for its friendly, intelligent nature and beautiful golden coat. Originating in Scotland during the late 19th century, Golden Retrievers were developed as gundogs to assist hunters in retrieving waterfowl and other game from difficult terrain. They are widely recognized for their gentle temperament, trainability, and adaptability, making them excellent family pets as well as working dogs in roles such as search-and-rescue, therapy assistance, and guide dogs for the blind.
