Fahrenheit

Fahrenheit is a temperature scale named after the German physicist Daniel Gabriel Fahrenheit, who proposed it in 1724. On this scale, the freezing point of water is set at 32 degrees Fahrenheit (°F), and the boiling point occurs at 212 °F under standard atmospheric pressure. The Fahrenheit scale is primarily used in the United States and a few other countries, whereas most nations use Celsius or Kelvin scales for scientific purposes.
