Apartheid

Apartheid was a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that existed in South Africa from 1948 until the early 1990s. It enforced strict separation of racial groups, particularly between white and Black South Africans, through laws that restricted access to public services, housing, employment, education, and political rights.
